Visualforce Email Template with custom controller?

Apex Controller:

public  class acctTemplt
{
    public Id accountId {get;set;}
    public List<Opportunity> getopptys()
    {

        oppty = [SELECT Name, StageName FROM Opportunity WHERE Accountid =: accountId];
        return oppty;

}
